What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a term used to describe the lumpy, bumpy, orange peel fat deposits underneath the skin. It is a result from a combination of fatty tissues and fluid retention. It is usually found on the thighs, back of the legs, upper arms, bottom and stomach but can form anywhere where excess fatty tissue accumulates. Cellulite is extremely common, with 90% of women affected. Men can suffer from cellulite too. It affects woman of all ages, shapes and sizes – even very slim women have cellulite!

Cellulite can make some women feel very self conscious, particularly in summer when long skirts and trousers just aren’t comfortable. Over the years women have spent a fortune on creams and gels and it can be very frustrating when even the strictest of diets don’t seem to help.

MESOTHERAPY FIGHTS CELLULITE

How does Mesotherapy reduce Cellulite?

Mesotherapy improves the circulation and drainage as well as shrinking fat cells. It stimulates the mesoderm, the middle layer of the skin which helps to disburse the cellulite.

What is Mesotherapy?

Originally a medical technique devised in 1958 by Frenchman Dr Michel Pistor to treat such conditions as Rheumatology, Sports Traumatology, Infectious diseases, Vascular diseases and the improvement of circulation. Mesotherapy has subsequently been extremely successful in the treatment of aesthetic conditions. It has subsequently proved to be a very effective cellulite treatment and also is also good for fluid retention, lymphatic drainage, localised fat reduction and skin rejuvenation. Mesotherapy is also good for Sports Injuries and Pain Management and also for Hair Loss.

What is the treatment?

Mesotherapy is a medical treatments that involves injecting a specially prepared mixture of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients, amino acids and medications into the problematic area. This stimulates the fat cells and causes them to break away from the network of connective tissues in the skin. The excess deposits of fat are then dissolved and excreted through the bloodstream by the kidneys and bowel.

Each treatment takes about ten to fifteen minutes and is not painful. After the treatment you can return to normal activities. The addition of Vitamin C to the mixture encourages the tone and quality of the overlying skin. Clients and patients can if they wish to have the area to be treated numbed first by using an anaesthetic cream.

Treatments may be carried out immediately after an initial consultation at which point you will be informed as to how many treatments you will require. A Mesotherapy treatment for cellulite reduction can take up to 6 treatments before you see fantastic results. You didn’t develop cellulite overnight so, you won’t see the results over night!
